EQUILIBRIUM (Asymptotic) 2)
← Back
This is the type of equilibrium toward which tends a system whose succesive states are fully determined by the initial energy available to it. In such a case, the system is never able to autonomously leave its final equilibrium, once reached. The system responds to a punctual asymptotic attractor.
In a more general sense, homeostatic systems with inputs of energy also tend to asymptotic equilibrium. In this case it seems that the cause of decay is the originally limited capacity to assimilate information, resulting from their organizational closure. In St. BEER words: "Death is equifinal" !
