"A system formed by stable subsystems, associated through more or less lax interrelations".
As defined by B. WALLISER (1977, p.62), the difference with ASHBY's homeostat does not seem evident. WALLISER uses the concept to describe ecological interrelations between multiple species, or in economy to describe constraints between production and consumption.
