PATTERN MAINTENANCE 2)
← Back
The relative or cyclical stability of interrelations between elements and/or subsystems in a system.
Pattern maintenance is a condition for homeostasis.
It corresponds to the conservation of functional efficiency in social as well as in living systems.
Rupture of established patterns implies always a very dangerous situation, even when it marks the transition toward other types of patterns.
