Situation of a system which "… rests at any perturbed condition without tending to return to, or diverge further from the original equilibrium point" (J. MILSUM, 1968, p.47).
While this is the case of a marble on a flat surface, neutral stability generally would be quite a unnatural condition in any complex system.
